SEN Teaching Assistant - Psychology Graduates wanted


A high-achieving, friendly primary school in the borough of Bexley are looking for a confident and ambitious Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant.

This role will begin in March 2023, as a full-time role, for the entire academic year.


What will you gain from this SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity? Full years' experience in a primary school supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

  • Working alongside professionals such as Speech and Language therapists, SENCo & art therapists
  • Additional training including autism awareness, safeguarding, team teach and makaton

_Alrnatively, this role will provide invaluable experience if you are a graduate interested in a career in psychology, therapy, counselling, or social work_

SEN Teaching Assistant - Job Description

  • Supporting children with a range of SEN (autism, ADHD, dyslexia etc)


  • Working across EYFS/KS1/KS

  • Using initiative to create new/alternative methods in supporting pupils
  • Long term, fulltime position starting March 202
  • Strong inclusion team to support you
  • CPD opportunities provided including the potential to train as a Primary Teacher
- £85-£95 a day


SEN Teaching Assistant - Person Specification

  • Good understanding of SEN is essential
  • Experience working with children with additional needs is desirable
  • Genuine desire to help children grow
  • Excellent communication skills and can work well in a team
  • Patient and resilient
