A first-class Guildford hospital for specialist elective healthcare is now looking for an experienced
Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join the team as a
Theatre Support Worker within the Operating Department.


Rated fully "Good" by the CQC, the hospital offers routine and complex interventions across a broad range of specialties for patients from Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex and beyond.

With 3 operating theatres plus an Ambulatory Care Unit, an extensive imaging department, and an on-site physiotherapy gym, the hospital offers comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation for orthopaedics, cosmetics, oncology, and more.


As a Theatre Support Worker, you will help patients (and their loved ones) feel ready and comfortable before their procedures, ensure that the theatre areas are clean, tidy, and organised before and after surgery, and support the team during ongoing procedures so that operations can proceed as safely and efficiently as possible.

This is a
permanent,
full-time role (37.5h) for a Theatre Support Worker (HCA) with a flexible shift pattern.


Person specification:


  • A Care Certificate or other relevant health/care qualification (e.g. NVQ, Diploma).
  • Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant (HCA).
  • It is an advantage but not essential to have:_
  • Previous experience within an operating theatre setting.
