Description

As Head of Risk & Operational Compliance, your responsibility will be to identify and limit the risk associated with the company's operational delivery by understanding the organisational risk appetite, identifying the risk of it and to it within the industry, assess and analyse the risk; eliminate, mitigate, and monitor it.


You must ensure that no unnecessary or unforeseen risk is accepted on behalf of the company involving the company's people, processes, systems, external interactions, and legal/regulatory circumstances.


What you will be doing:


  • Embed an effective risk management culture reflective of the company's historical learning's and market position
  • Manage the connection between risk regulation and the company by tailoring policy into practice
  • Maintain a contemporary company risk register
  • Report to corporate stakeholders and the company regularly on risk analysis and trends internal to or external from the company
  • Explain the risk policy into practice flow across all levels within the company to generate their adherence
  • Maintain and peer test contemporary risk assessment modelling
  • Report on operational risk to corporate stakeholders
  • Scan on behalf of the company the risk horizon to update mitigation and delivery tools
  • Provide a policy framework to underpin risk management and support decision making prioritisation
  • Offer guidance on best practice and promote continuous improvement informed by relevant external benchmarking
  • Develop internal operational risk stress testing
  • Advise corporate management in line with being the company's professional and expert in this field

What Showsec can offer you:


  • Salary of £59,325.00 per annum
- £6,000 car allowance per annum
hour working week

What we need from you:


  • Proven leadership presence with the ability to motivate and influence others
  • Ability to develop strategic thinking and translate it into company practices
  • Some travel to venues may be required for operational and assessment purposes
  • Fluid communicator with the ability to persuasively communicate up and down an organisation and represent externally
  • Proven IT skills and highlevel reporting
  • Historical understanding of corporate governance on a global scale
  • Team player within the company understanding workflow pressures of all within a SME
  • Analytical, logical, and proportionate individual
  • Create selfdetermined timelines and meet them
