Description

Will be required to work on some Saturdays but will be given a day off in the week - same applies to all staff and thus a rotation of weekend (saturday) to work.

Efficiently works within a busy dispatch & shipping department
Packs and unpacks shipping/barrel orders while maintaining department schedule
Effectively uses organisation systems and warehouse technology to locate and gather stock/barrels to ship
Accurately updates spreadsheets and shipping stock/barrels information
Creates shipping labels (bill of laden electronically and manually) and handles shipping information
Sends booking requests to shipping lines
Communicates with other stockroom personnel about organization practices and picker technology
Problem solves for customers and suppliers about shipping routes, delayed items, and rush orders
Performs administrative duties like answering phones, updating records, and providing excellent customer service
Liaises with warehouse overseers and managers about product ordering and storage
Maintains good customer relationships and answers any customer questions
Keeps organized shipping records, including statements of origin, shipping costs, products shipped, shipped,invoices and receipt dates
Troubleshoots shipping issues and customer issues that pop up regularly; works to solve these administrative or organizational problems to increase warehouse and dispatch efficiency
Develops knowledge about freight and sea shipping regulations and practices
Works well with shipping team to complete orders on time
Other coordinating duties that will be occupied are specified below:
A Shipping Coordinator job is very varied and relies heavily upon good organisational and administrative skills. Your daily tasks will include responding to customers or shippers questions or in some cases complaints.
Providing routing information and issuing shipping instructions to ensure deliveries arrive on time and to their correct location.

You will also be responsible for tracking of goods enroute to their destination ensuring any problems that may arise are resolved so as to avoid delays.

A Shipping Coordinator is responsible for the preparation of quotes for customers, which will involve examining products or materials to estimate quantities or weight and type of container required for storage or transport.

You will also liaise with accounts for the preparation of invoices ensuring shipping costs are calculated accurately and passed onto customer.

The Shipping Coordinator is also required to review sales and prepare reports for senior manager comparing actual sales against targets set.

The Shipping Coordinator's job is to negotiate rates with suppliers such as carriers, warehouse operators and insurance companies and prepare tariffs for customers, ensuring the require profit margins as directed by the company are achieved.

Salary:
£18,000.00-£20,000.00 per month
