About The Role:


We at PEI Group are looking for an Editor to join our welcoming, diverse, and growing team based here in London.

The Editor of _Infrastructure Investor_ _Deals_ is a key position, as PEI Group prepare to launch this new publication in Q4 2024 focusing on covering institutional capital deployment into global infrastructure assets.

Managing a team of three across Europe, the US and APAC, the Editor will drive content for this fast-paced, breaking news daily website, in close collaboration with the Senior Editor for Infrastructure.

The Editor will be required to edit copy to high standards, manage a small team across different time zones, write regularly, and be out interfacing with the market, establishing key relationships with senior industry figures and serving as an ambassador for the brand.

II Deals is an editorial-led, data-focused product, with the Editor required to ensure our data offering is as fresh, complete and apposite as possible.

As launch Editor, the position also calls for active participation in all things leading to the launch of II Deals, from website testing to assisting with the hiring of team members, working closely with the Senior Editor for Infrastructure.

This role will report to Bruno Alves, Senior Editor, Infrastructure.


Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Establish and communicate the bigpicture editorial vision for the brand and determine which news, trends and people should be covered and how they should be covered
  • Edit daily copy to high standards in a fastpaced environment, in close cooperation with PEI Group's Production team
  • Source & distribute leads to a team of reporters on a daily basis
  • Ensure highquality, dealfocused data points are being sourced by the team, in close cooperation with our R&A department, and featuring prominently in stories
  • Manage & mentor a team across several time zones
  • Produce daily news, with a focus on exclusives and breaking news, as well analysis items
  • Write & commission marketleading opinion pieces
  • Produce multimedia items, including podcasts and/or interactive presentations, as required
  • Interface with the market regularly, cultivating new and existing sources
  • Ensure that the editorial team is deploying best practices in all activities and adhering to the highest journalistic ethics and standards
  • Optimise content based on metrics to ensure content is relevant to our audience and is being produced to deliver performance
  • Work with upper management to ensure the brand is meeting the overall company's goals
  • When appropriate, collaborate with the PEI Events team, and moderate discussions at events hosted by the Company.

_ __Qualification & Experience_**- 5+ years of experience in business or financial reporting and editing preferred

  • Experience covering infrastructure, private markets more broadly, or related financial fields
  • Experience managing editorial teams
  • Proven ability to develop a network of contacts among senior professionals
  • Data savvy with the ability to turn complex data into accessible editorial content
