Juice Recruitment is delighted to be in partnership with a well-established, forward thinking and progressive business, with the appointment of a Compliance and Risk Officer, to join their expanding team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the department's logs remain up to date
  • Deputising for the CRO on agreed tasks
  • Assisting the CRO in completion of Departmental reports
  • Managing Incident oversight, ensuring remedial action is completed to mitigate the risk of the incident occurring again in the future
  • Undertaking work to assess the risks posed by noncompliant Network members
  • Investigating and responding to regulated complaints, fairly and promptly, in accordance with the FCA rules
  • Completing a root cause analysis for individual complaints to identify trends and making recommendations for remedial action
  • Undertaking a second line riskbased monitoring function which focuses on assurance over the first line activities
  • Completing a thorough review of the onboarding risk assessment document, ensuring all required actions are then completed
  • Supporting the Risk department in delivering thematic reviews on departmental areas and processes
  • Completing Horizon Scanning reviews of regulatory publications on a weekly basis and providing a list of these publications to the CRO

Key Skills Required:

  • Previous experience in a risk or compliance role
  • Good investigative and analytical skills including the ability to analyse processes and procedures against requirements and desired outcomes
  • Ability to be able to critically review, and make judgements on, the compliance of written and oral com Good organisational skills and ability to proactively manage workload

  • Good written, oral communication and presentation skills
Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday - Friday


Salary:
£23,000 - £31,000 per annum
