You will be supporting our multidisciplinary team of wheelchair therapists, rehabilitation engineer technicians and therapy support staff to deliver a specialist service for adults and children with mobility and postural problems requiring wheelchairs.

We are looking for an experienced support worker, who has worked in the hospital and/or community delivering care to a wide range of people with varying long-term conditions/ disabilities.

This is primarily a patient facing role; however, you will be required to carry out a range of housekeeping duties, including the recycling of wheelchair cushions and accessories, and maintaining safe and efficient working environment.

You will see patients in a clinic setting. This will involve assessing people for and providing low level wheelchair equipment, working within a defined protocol/ competencies.

You will also assist the clinical staff in certain clinics, such as to help with manual handling procedures, stock management and patient flow.

On occasion, you may need to assess/ review patients in their home environment.

This is a great development opportunity for a support worker who is looking to progress in their career or looking for a change in direction/ challenge.

You must be able to work the advertised hours, and access to a car for work purposes is essential as well as having a full clean driving license and be flexible to travel between our 2 service locations.
