Our client based on the outskirts of Keighley is looking to recruit a Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis.

Description of the role

  • Maintain accounting records within Sage 200 including sales and purchase ledgers, bank accounts and nominal ledger.
  • Credit control including processing customer receipts and communicating with customers to seek payments and/or sending payment demands where applicable to achieve monthly target set.
  • Produce monthly debtor report and reconcile with bank.
  • Produce monthly supplier payment report, pay and reconcile accounts.
  • Product overseas supplier payment report and check foreign currency rates.
  • Pay overseas suppliers via company's overseas payment platforms.
  • Assist with stock takes and maintaining component costs.
  • Any other task commensurate with the role
Employee Specification

  • 5 GCSE's grades A-C, 49 including Maths and English, or equivalent
  • AAT Level 2 in accounting
  • Effective communicator clear verbal and written skills
  • Use of Accounting software
  • Use of MS Office
  • Numerical accuracy
  • Minimum of 1 years' experience working in an account's environment.

Hours of work:
Full time, Monday to Friday but may consider someone on a part time basis.


Salary :
£23,000 to £24,000.
