Description
The Sheffield Kidney Institute serves the population of South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire.

We recognise the importance of a Patient centred approach to the way in which we treat and care for our patients.

We therefore have Haemodialysis units close to the patients including at Chesterfield d Royal Hospital

There are currently 12 haemodialysis stations, 64 patients who attend for their treatment 3 times per week.

The Nursing team is responsible for the day to day care/management of the patients including haemodialysis treatment

All staff are highly trained to undertake the haemodialysis treatment, through a robust training programme which is supported


As a Clinical Support Worker you will provide vital assistance to patients and support them with their physical and emotional care needs.

You will also be responsible for assisting healthcare professionals in the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients.


Main Duties of this role:


  • Assessment of the patient
  • Undertaking vital sign management
  • Maintenance of Haemodialysis
  • Termination of haemodialysis treatment
  • Ongoing review and assessment of patient
  • Maintaining fluid and nutritional intake
  • Line/priming of Haemodialysis machine
