CIB Digital Innovation - Digital Strategy and FinTech Partnerships

Within the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB), the Digital Innovation Team combines strategy, thought leadership and execution to shape the CIB's digital agenda and offerings.

The team has capabilities across strategy, fintech, and partnership development.

With a global footprint spanning New York, London and Hong Kong, the team strives to rapidly develop unique and transformative offerings for JPM and its clients.


Summary of Responsibilities:


  • Identify potential new business leads, growth opportunities or future market trends
  • Engage with management on existing pain points/ business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels
  • Build and analyze industry landscape related to any new opportunities
  • Develop and convey compelling yet objective value propositions to get buyin from senior management on innovative digital strategies
  • Engage and develop relationships with FinTech and VC executives
  • Negotiate partnerships with FinTechs, including investments
  • Coordinate stakeholders internally to be in a position to execute FinTech partnerships
  • Participate in industry events/ organizations as a thought leader

Skills required

  • Preferred backgrounds: Experience working in Corporate & Investment Banking; a Strategy, FinTech or Innovation team within a Bank; a PE/VC Fund; a Strategy Consulting Firm; a tech/innovationdriven environment (e.g. startup, FinTech, Big Tech, etc.)
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn / adapt in what is a nontraditional banking role
  • Genuine interest in digital innovation and transformation combined with a strong intellectual curiosity
  • Strong executive presence & communication skills
  • Ability to rapidly engage a diverse audience of internal/ external stakeholders, include senior management
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capability
  • Selfstarter able thrive in a fastpaced, collaborative and crossfunctional environment that is resultsdriven Gracefully challenge the status quo and is data driven
  • Able to see the "big picture" and the details
  • Strong team player who is comfortable being "pulled in multiple different directions" at once, working in a fastpaced environment, and contributing to the broader team's mission
  • Ability to work independently when required, and proactively drive projects forward including a willingness to "roll up their sleeves" and take ownership of project management and execution related tasks
