A leading UK telecom and broadband company is seeking a Back End Developer. They offer a range of services, including broadband, TV and mobile, serving over half of all UK households. They have a strong Digital Strategy, building scalable software systems with a cloud-first, API-first, microservices approach and a focus on DevSecOps.

The Role
As a Node Developer, you can expect to be involved in the following:

  • Develop and maintain microservices in
  • Implement and manage cloud infrastructure in GCP.
  • Design and implement microservices architecture patterns.
  • Build, deploy, and run containers using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Integrate Cloud API gateways.
  • Manage source code using Git.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines.
  • Store and manage container images in a Container Registry.
  • Manage dependencies and build artifacts using Maven.
  • Develop and implement GraphQL APIs to enhance API performance.

Your Skills and Experience
The successful Node Developer will have the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience developing in
  • Experience in GCP (preferred) OR AWS.
  • Solid experience with Microservices Design Patterns and Architecture.
  • Demonstrable experience of building/running/deploying within a containerised environment & sidecar concepts.
  • Cloud API Gateway experience (APIGee, Endpoints or Mulesoft)
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Exposure to GitHub, GitLab, DevOps Pipeline (e.g., terraform, ansible, puppet, etc), and Container Registry.
  • Proficiency in GraphQL.
  • Experience with tools such as Terraform, Ansible and Puppet.

The Benefits
The successful Node Developer will receive up to £600 per day inside IR35.
