We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner - Service Deliver working hybrid from our Head Office in Birmingham.

The role will support the delivery of the Service Delivery strategy through offering financial support and business insight.

Specifically the role will lead on producing budgets and reforecasts, providing business insight and analysis, leading on the delivery of commercial projects and supporting the efficiency and punctuality of scheduled services.

What you'll need...
Qualified accountant with industry experience (travel, transport, or retail background preferred but not essential).
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence at various levels.
Experience of compiling and interpreting complex data with the ability to simplify to provide clarity to non-financial management.
Confident presenter.
IT literate and able to use a variety of systems.
A genuine interest in what drives business performance with an appetite to learn about the business and form opinions. A team player with an enquiring and open mind.
The ability to think creatively, act proactively and project enthusiasm.

A mature and self-confident individual willing to make recommendations and take decisions, but with the judgement to refer to more senior colleagues for advice.

Comfortable playing both a hands on detailed role and having an ability to think and act more strategically.
Numerate, proactive, accurate, organised and consistently meets deadlines.

What you'll do...

Establish credibility with the Service Delivery teams providing key financial support to maximise delivery of the Service Delivery divisions' targets.

Deliver financial insight and analysis of Service Delivery costs to support the development of a longer term operational strategy that will drive greater operational efficiency.

Take accountability for the delivery of daily, weekly and monthly KPI reporting to the senior leadership team.

Further develop key performance metrics to support the operational team ensuring close monitoring of safety, service and cost performance on a weekly and monthly basis.

Deliver forecasts and budgets that meet the overall needs of the business and effectively highlights commercial risks and opportunities on a timely basis.

Take ownership for Internal reviews and actions that relate to Service Delivery as and when required.
Manage the overall costs of the Service Delivery team ensuring financial control is maintained and financial processes are improved.
