Product Compliance Engineer

Up to £36/hr - Inside IR35

Peterborough/Hybrid - Remote

Contract - Long term


A Product Compliance Engineer opportunity has become available for one of the world's leading manufacturers of off-highway machinery and diesel and natural gas engines.

You will support the development of medium sized diesel engines L) and associated products, ensuring that product regulations are met.


The role will focus on all product regulations (except exhaust emissions) relating to diesel engines, batteries and hybrid drive systems.


Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of diesel engines. Understanding of batteries, drive control systems, functional safety or materials compliance would also be beneficial
  • An education in engineering, with a background in product development or validation
  • Selfdirected and capable of handling and prioritising multiple projects, with an ability to successfully lead parallel work streams to firm timing and quality targets
  • Strong commitment to product safety and quality, with excellent communication / influencing skills at all levels
  • Proven ability to build strategic working relationships, understand business constraints, and resolve conflict through compromise and consensus building
  • An ability and interest to review regulatory documents and engineering standards, before providing guidance to engineers and other business areas
  • Experience in creation of product compliance documentation or validation reports, to demonstrate product compliance, would be an advantage
