About The Role:

We are pleased to be recruiting a

Student Advisor to ensure we continue to deliver an outstanding student experience at Falmouth University.

You will work in partnership with our course teams, alongside other specialist teams (e.g. wellbeing support and accessibility) to ensure timely identification, intervention and case management of students who are at risk of not progressing or withdrawing from their studies.

This will involve careful monitoring of students to make sure they remain on track, providing high quality advice and supporting students to independently manoeuvre University processes with ease.

You will be part of an existing team of Student Advisors and managed centrally within the Academic Innovation & Quality directorate.

There is an expectation that you will be able to work flexibly across our Penryn and Falmouth campuses, and online as appropriate.

About You:

Recent and relevant experience of providing customer/student/client support face to face, on the phone or online, ideally gained in in FE or HE, particularly in a pastoral care context
Strong working knowledge of a wide variety of computer systems and packages
Excellent problemsolving skills
Strong ability to be selfdirected
Excellent interpersonal skills, active listening skills and ability to communicate effectively and confidentially, verbally and in writing

This is a fixed term to July 2023, full time, 35 hours per week position.
