Working closely with a large fulfilment service operator in Northampton to fill their accounts assistant role on a 6 month FTC initially.

Working in an Accounts Administrator role to support the finance team with various transactional accounts duties. Ideal for a Finance & Accountancy Graduate/Recent AAT studier.

Accounts Administrator

Hours: 8-5pm Mon, Tues & Friday - Hours & Days set due to workload


Location:
Northampton


Main responsibilities:


  • Assisting budget holders with Purchase Order processing/analysis
  • Importing and manipulating large volumes of carrier data, and investigating variances arising between invoiced charges and accruals within our internal systems
  • Assisting the Accounts Payable function to ensure supplier payments are processed and supplier statement reconciliations are completed in a timely manner.
  • Assisting with Labour cost reporting and liaising with Operational budget holders on payroll & agency costs
  • Providing support as required to the Management Accountant and Financial Controller

  • Diligent, working to a high degree of accuracy
  • Able to learn new processes and procedures and complete these accurately
  • Effective communicator and relationship builder (suppliers, internal & external customers)
  • Ability to prioritise, manage own workload and work to tight deadlines
  • Experience of analysing and manipulating data
  • MS Office Skills; Intermediate Excel to include look up formulas and pivot tables
  • Experience or the ability to demonstrate the capability to deal directly with suppliers + clients to resolve queries and raise enquiries.
  • Can demonstrate strong reconciliation skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to make decisions and ownership when under pressure
  • Demonstrates the ability to work to tight reporting deadlines and manage own workload autonomously
  • Demonstrates effective problemsolving skills and an ability to see an issue through to resolution
  • Must be able to demonstrate exceptional customer focus and professional approach to both internal and external customers
  • Proven ability to work successfully as part of the team, a quick communicator and able to develop working relationships with a wide range of people
