Description
The core responsibilities of the Patient Services Administrator include, but are not limited to:Incoming Correspondence:
- Processing incoming and outgoing mail
- Scanning patientrelated documentation and attaching it to the patients healthcare records
- Allocating electronic letters to the appropriate clinician or department, considering absences due to working days, holidays, and sickness, through the SystmOne workflow
- Managing correspondence with coding and completion as needed
- Communicating with secondary care and external agencies regarding patientrelated inquiries
- Entering data into the patients healthcare records as required
- Processing requests for information, such as Subject Access Requests (SAR), insurance/solicitors letters, and DVLA forms Coding & Actions on Documents:
- Identifying relevant clinical information in patient correspondence
- Appropriately coding documents
- Completing detailed actions on documents
- Clinically coding data in SystmOne
- Assisting with the management and administration of actions added by clinicians and other staff members
Producing Reports:
- Gathering information, managing reports and records concerning Safeguarding, and participating in meetings
Electronic Results:
- Assigning electronic results to the appropriate clinician through the SystmOne workflow, considering absences
- Taking necessary actions on electronic results
- Communicating with patients and handling phone calls about test results Appointments:
- Managing patient appointments
