Our client a global plastic piping manufacturer requires Production Operatives to join their expanding team of professionals.

Training period to allow full product knowledge_
Hours of Work:
- Continental shift pattern
- Rotational days and night shifts
- 12 hour shifts
Week - 3 days on, 4 days off
Week - 4 days on, 3 days off
Pay Rate:
- £12.17 per hour
- £1.46 holiday pay
- Overtime available, double time and time and a half over your working hours
- Time and a half = £18.28 p/hour
- Double time = £24.34 p/hour
PAY RISE WHEN PERMANENT
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Setup and changeover of lines within set minimum targets.
- The nature of the job is that they will be assembling component parts, these parts are then attached to pipe by the customer.
- The working environment in this area is clean, spacious and there will be opportunities to sit when conducting this process.
- Responsibility for machine repairs required or allocated to ensure continuity of production whilst minimizing scrap and downtime to meet targets.
- Machine startups when required and ensure they are up and running to within specification as soon as possible and to maximum efficiency.
- Issue tooling, take back tooling and check for damage and cleanliness and action repairs or coating.
- Ensure all prerun check lists are complete and signed off.
- Once running to correct targets to monitor all lines and maintain efficiency and quality throughout the shift.
- Ensuring the correct blend of materials is available at each machine and correct formulas are used.
- Ensuring that the company policy on health, safety and environment is followed, and that appropriate health and safety rules regulations and PPE are adhered to.
