An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Employer Engagement Adviser to join the Careers and Employability Service team.

The work of the Careers and Employability Service is defined by our vision:
Inspiring career success for all through collaboration, innovation and professionalism. We provide a wide range of services for our students, graduates, academic staff and other partners such as employers.

This additional post recognises the importance of employer engagement and the University commitment to maximising the scale and quality of work experience, volunteering, part-time and graduate job opportunities for students to achieve career success.

The Employer Engagement Adviser will build and manage a range of employer relationships, connecting employers with University of Aberdeen students and graduates, working collaboratively with others across the careers team, other Professional Services and academic Schools.

Employer engagement services, designed to ensure regional, national and global employer talent pipeline needs are met, include:


  • Vacancy advertising service: graduate jobs, internships, part time jobs and volunteering
  • Employer networking events and fairs
  • A range of other ways to connect employers with students via the curriculum and through central cocurricular programmes and workshops.


Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 6, £36,333 - £43,155 per annum with placement according to qualifications and experience.
