Job summary:


The Store Person's primary role is to assist the Senior Storekeeper with their duties and assume the duties and responsibilities in their absence.

The role is customer facing, managing the safe and effective issuing, maintenance and recording of equipment. The Store Person will conduct technical maintenance of equipment, ensuring safety standards, PPE and an effective service are maintained.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.


Job description:

Induction and technical training is required for the position, some elements remotely.

Daily tasks as directed by the Senior Store-Keeper to maintain the effective running of a military store.

Flexible working will be necessary, for example to cover Sunday kit issue to RAF Employees.

Additional duties include driving, security checks, environmental safety, emergency POC and administrative work.


Person specification:


Desirable attributes:
Relevant experience in technical maintenance and management of equipment, including PPE.

Basic office and administrative experience to carry out associated duties.

Teamwork, innovative and flexible working at short notice is preferable to optimise output.

IT literate, with customer facing skills.

Capable of operating in a confined logístical environment requiring manual handing.
