The role

The team

Our actuarial team works across a range of projects to facilitate regulatory decision-making, strategy, and policy making in respect of the regulation of Occupational Schemes in the UK., with a focus on Defined Benefit Schemes.

Job description:


What you'll do

  • Assisting with the management, operation and use of key actuarial models
  • Providing the analysis of internal performance indicators
  • The maintenance of existing models and delivery of new models
  • Providing administrative support to the actuarial team
  • Working with and establishing relationships across analytics teams and other areas within TPR
This placement would suit someone who may be studying courses in mathematics, finance, economics or similar.


Person specification:


What you'll bring

  • A student in penultimate year of study, or undertaking a degree requiring a yearlong placement
  • Ability to analyse complex information in a new domain
  • Ability to deliver and explain complex information clearly in words, tables, and graphs
  • Good grasp of statistical concepts as they are used to summarise data
  • Experience of evaluating information for integrity, reliability, and accuracy
  • Good command of Microsoft Office, including organising and charting data in Excel
