Job Purpose
- To safely operate print machines within defined parameters and meet production criteria whilst adhering to customer requirements.

Principal Accountabilities

Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (OHSE):
- Actively support and align decisions and actions with OHSE requirements.
- Demonstrate meaningful involvement by integrating OHSE into daytoday life.
- Actively participate in all OHSE training.
- Ensure compliance with best practice, legislative requirements and all company's initiatives in relation to Health and Safety.
- Support and carry out risks assessments and inform your Supervisor of any new activity that needs to be performed within the area.
Housekeeping - Maintain levels of housekeeping and hygiene as expected by customers and defined by the company.
- Take part in 6S activities as required and ensure your working area is always clean and safe
Machine operation - Set up and operate the machines you are trained for, producing a variety of materials whilst maintaining a positive trend in relation to performance.
- Operate slitting lines safely, following SOPs defined in line with Quality Standards.
- Undertake whatever duties are necessary to ensure slitting lines run to capacity, high quality and low waste levels as defined by the Company.
- Follow work instructions carefully and carry out the relevant Quality checks and record information to the standards required by the Company.
- Always report any faulty equipment to your Supervisor and Engineering.
Quality systems - Operate within/to prescribed quality standards and systems at all times as defined by the Company and customer requirements.

Paperwork - Ensure that all paperwork is completed as and when required whilst maintaining prescribed levels of accuracy.

Data collection - Operate the data collection system in place as defined by procedures.
- Support the improvement of internal controls by participating in the development of SOPs, reference documents and forms.
- Participate in audits (internal or external).
Assistants - Instruct and manage assistants in their duties appropriately to ensure performance and efficiencies are maintained, and output levels and targets are met.

Flexibility - Maintain a flexible approach to work. Be prepared to work in any area providing the relevant training has been given.

Continuous improvement - Actively engage in Continuous improvement, either within personal performance or participating in Continuous improvement initiatives at the site.

Training - Support development of new operators through their own training and to participate actively in training programmes as and when required.
Qualifications/Requirements
