Reed Accountancy Ipswich are delighted to be recruiting for this brand new opportunity, which is a fantastic opening for an experienced Credit Control Manager, with experience of managing a team.

The role has been designed to provide leadership and manage the Credit Control team (3 colleagues), ensuring that cash collected from customers is managed proactively and with efficiently, whilst ensuring that the Credit Control team provide an excellentservice level to both internal and external customers

The successful Credit control manager, will work with closely with the companies FC to contribute to the overall success of Site Finance Team

  • Ensure that the team provides excellent customer service to internal stakeholders and external customers
  • Proactively manage the performance of individuals in the team against agreed objectives, identifying key development areas and setting plans to ensure progress
  • Effective credit control ensuring that debts due are collected promptly and within terms
  • Customer account management ensuring queries are resolved in a timely manner
  • Ensure that invoices, statements and receipts are processed promptly, including transitioning more customers to electronic documentation
  • Support customers and colleagues in a helpful and professional manner with queries and challenges
  • Set credit limits including completion of credit references and credit checking on Experian/ Equifax etc
  • Monitoring credit limits of active accounts to mitigate and manage risk and credit exposure
  • Ensure that customer records are maintained and regularly updated, along with notes on system for future reference
  • Ensure that the team posts and allocates cash to the ledgers on a timely basis
  • Manage the legal / escalation process for at risk debts through to legal action
  • Review payment methods to reduce associated bank charges and increase efficiency including payments via websites
  • Ensure that all month end and year end deadlines and requirements are delivered
  • Review daily and monthly reports to monitor performance
  • Develop and drive action plans to ensure continuous improvements in debtor days, reduction in overdue debt and elimination of error
  • Hold regular credit review meetings with Sales Managers to resolve issues and manage stakeholder relationships
  • Ensure internal controls are maintained at all times
