We are delighted to have been appointed on a retained exclusive basis to help this incredible privately owned Group to recruit a newly created opportunity within Data and ICT.
This role will report to the board and will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the technology strategy which includes you having developed and built a data and analytics capability from scratch.
This is a unique opportunity as it incorporates the running and leading ICT as well as creating a new data strategy for the Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Experience of developing and building a data and analytics capability from scratch, understanding of AI and how this can benefit the school and students.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive ICT strategy aligning with organisational goals, with a strong emphasis on data management and infrastructure optimisation.
- Oversee the Educational aspects of ICT across the schools, including the support and development of individual devices, pedagogical developments and staff training
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust data management systems, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility. Implement data governance practices and policies to comply with regulatory requirements.
- Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of a scalable and resilient ICT infrastructure, encompassing servers, networks, cloud services, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Ensure the organisation's infrastructure is agile and can adapt to evolving business needs.
- Manage and mentor a highperforming ICT team, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet project goals and operational needs.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends, evaluating their potential to enhance the organisation's data and infrastructure capabilities.
- Drive innovation initiatives to improve efficiency and maintain a competitive edge.
- Collaborate with external vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the organisation receives optimal value from technology partnerships.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity measures to safeguard organisational data and infrastructure. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Oversee ICT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This includes data migration projects, infrastructure upgrades, and system implementations.
- Develop and manage the ICT budget, ensuring costeffectiveness, and ROI on technology investments.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Experience in creating and utilising ICT data analytics and Business Intelligence (BI) tools to facilitate informed decisionmaking.
- Understanding of how to use AI to benefit the school, staff and students
- Leadership and management capabilities
- Ideally; Datawarehouse Design and Development, Power BI and Business Objects Data Services is extremely advantageous
- Significant prior experience of driving technological innovation, ensuring data security and compliance, and optimising the organisation's overall ICT landscape.
- An understanding of the development of ICT to support education and learning
