Description
SupplyGo are working with multiple children's residential homes and specialist residential SEND services across Matlock and the surrounding areas. And we have multiple new roles available full-time and on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience working with vulnerable children in the community.

You will be a part of a child's ongoing development and route to independence and will be working with other professionals to help create a fun nurturing environment.

There is nothing better than watching a child grow and develop into a young adult with the knowledge that you have been a large part of that ongoing development.

You will be given a comprehensive walk around the school, talk about the roles themselves and ask any questions you have about the schools themselves.


Experience needed
You do not need experience to be shortlisted.

The most important thing is to have a passion for making a difference in the lives of the children you work with and care for and have experience in working with Special Education Needs.

A background working with children or adults in a care setting is an advantage.

Examples of roles with transferable skills: Youth work, teaching assistants, elderly care homes, Behaviour mentor, Youth work, Nanny, Mentor, Prison officer, police officer, Residential home, Support workers, Nursery nurse, Classroom assistant, Nurse, Health care workers etc


Desired skills
Empathy towards the children or young adults in your care.

A positive can-do attitude.

The ability to build great relationships with pupils and parents.

You must be able to adapt to each child's or young person's needs in your care.

The desire to be a part of a child's ongoing development.

Main duties

  • Forming a strong relationship with the children in your care.
  • Helping the children become more independent.
  • Helping prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Helping with daily tasks like getting ready for school.
  • Supporting the children within the class with emotional support.
  • Working with other health professionals.
  • Working on a child's development plan.

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time

Part-time hours: 10-39 per week


Salary:
£85.00-£90.00 per day
