£39,682 to £41,291 (dependent upon experience plus excellent benefits)

Hours:
This is a full-time post. 36.5 hours per week (7.5 hours Monday to Thursday and 6.5 hours on
Friday). The post-holder will occasionally be expected to work during the evening/weekend to
organize/attend College events which will be compensated by time in lieu.

Tenure:
This post is offered on a Permanent basis

Holidays: 25 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays (pro rata for part-time working)

Purpose of the role:
The Head of Student Services will lead and manage a team administrating the College's Tutorial, Student Finance and
Accommodation activities and providing students with information and advice in these areas, supporting the Senior Tutor,
Tutors and Directors of Studies to ensure that a comprehensive and high level of support is maintained. The role includes a
substantial amount of day-to-day Tutorial work.

Specific Management Duties:


  • Line management of all staff in the Student Services Hub to include recruitment, induction, probation, appraisals and

  • Act as the Head of Department for Student Services, attend and contribute to Head of Department meetings and
prepare for and represent Student Services at various College Committees e.g., Tutorial Committee, General Purposes
Committee, Health and Safety Committee.

  • Liaise with Tutors, Director of Studies, the College's Wellbeing team as necessary in order to ensure that the College's
academic and welfare responsibilities are effectively carried out.

  • Ensure the Student Services department supports undergraduate and postgraduate students, Directors of Studies
and Tutors effectively throughout the academic year.

  • Act as the senior point of liaison for College Officers and Heads of Department on al
