A successful, established and growing business is looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Professional to join their Finance team.
The role reports into the CFO
This is a 9 month temporary contract to cover a maternity leave with potential to extend on a rolling monthly basis.
The role will cover a variety of finance tasks including managing Purchase Ledger and supporting the Finance and Payroll Manager with daily bank and cash postings within the finance system.
The Purchase Ledger Manager will supervise and distribute work accordinglyto the Purchase Ledger Assistant.The role will be varied and will involve exposure to a combination of duties including; responsibility of the end-to-end processes within purchase ledger, adherence to month end procedures and providing support with the PO system and ordering process and liaisingwith our practice managers to provide support on resource and goods supply.
Essential Criteria- A minimum of 2 years proven experience within a similar role
- Computer literate with good working knowledge of all MS Office programmes and intermediate excel
- Ability to follow procedure and a team player
- Proactive approach to problem solving
- Confidentially deal with complex matters
- AAT or equivalent
- Knowledge of SAGE
- Experience of dealing with large suppliers
