The Team


The Recruitment team at Norton Rose Fulbright LLP is a key part of the wider Talent and Resourcing function within the People and Culture pillar.

The team is responsible for the attracting and hire of talent across the business including:
Partner hiring,Early Career recruitment and Experienced Hire recruitment (including legal staff and business services hires). The Recruitment team are passionate about identifying talent who will shape and grow our organisation of the future.

Our office is based right next to Tower Bridge and within striking distance of The City.

The Role

The key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Partner with the leadership teams and hiring managers to identify and shape current and future needs in personnel.
  • Develop insight and knowledge into hiring areas, and provide updates on key recruiting trends to hiring managers and Recruitment Team leadership.
  • Ensure that hiring managers have the skills and tools to hire the talent needed.
  • Provide expert and professional advice on how to best structure recruitment campaigns, with a particular focus on reducing reliance on third party recruitment agencies and maximising social media presence.
  • Focus on strategies to develop the Norton Rose Fulbright employer brand in the relevant recruitment markets, so that we are positioned as an employer of choice.
  • Create and maintain content related to recruitment advertising, and employment brand.
  • Manage stakeholder recruitment relationships internally and externally, including account relationship management for recruitment solutions.
  • To be proactive in ensuring managers are appropriately briefed on the progress of their recruitment campaigns, in some instances scheduling regular update meetings.
  • Maintain regular communication with other business services teams involved in the process such as HR, Finance and HR Service Delivery team.
  • To manage and coach the Sourcing Advisor, fully briefing them on new mandates, providing guidance on sourcing strategies and delegating where appropriate.
  • Promote inclusive practices through the hiring process to positively impact diversity and inclusion through talent acquisition.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of past recruitment strategies including the success rates of PSL agencies.
  • Maintain relationships with top tier PSL agencies.
  • Build your own industry networks and participate in career events to promote careers within NRF.
  • Lead recruitment team projects such as: developing best practice assessment.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Previous experience in an inhouse recruitment role is desirable or an indepth market expertise within a fee earning/legal environment
  • Proven success in developing direct sourcing channels, particularly with LinkedIn, and creative recruiting strategies including referrals.
  • Can demonstrate a flexible and collaborative working style with ability to deliver under pressure.
  • Highly skilled at building relationships to engage and gain credibility with senior stakeholder.
  • Experience of using a document management system or applicant tracking system.
  • Ability to manage own work load and prioritise tasks.
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • A positive and proactive attitude.
  • Resilience with the confidence to deliver difficult messages.
  • An excellent team player.
  • Strong MS office skills are essential in particular reference to Word and Outlook.
