Throughout the UK the Group employs over 500 staff including pharmacists, skilled technicians, HR, IT, procurement, warehouse and customer services staff.

Due to our continued growth, we are looking to appoint an experience Warehouse Operative to our wholesale team.

The Warehouse Operative will be responsible for sorting and placing products on to racks, and shelves, performing stock counts and computerised inventory controls, and picking, packing and despatching orders for various couriers.


The fast paced and energised environment relies on organisation and efficiency and with so much ground to cover in the line of duty it is important to ensure that you have a moderate level of fitness to enable you to comfortably carry out your tasks.

Picking and packing products can involve a substantial amount of manual handling including bending, stretching, reaching and lifting.

Having a good range of mobility is important to ensure you can work safely within health and safety regulations without placing undue strain on your body.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Maintain your training record and ensure training for your job role is complete as identified on the training matrix.
  • Ensure any proposed changed to GDP systems have been approved via the change control procedure before any changes are made.
  • Identify any deviations from approved procedures, inform QA and complete within the specified timeframe.
  • Complete any CAPA assigned to you within the specified timeframe.
  • Completing and correcting GDP documents as per procedure to maintain data integrity.
  • Work in accordance with GDP standards.
  • Perform 'Goodsout' procedure in response to customer orders ensuring that all required product checks are performed, and the correct documentation is enclosed.
  • Pick products as listed on the picking list, according to FEFO principles and checking the condition, description, quantities, and expiry date of products picked.
  • Pack products safely and securely ensuring boxes and/or pallets are labelled with storage and handling conditions as appropriate.
  • Book stock out of the inventory on the ERP system once ready for delivery.
  • Delivering Customer orders and collecting stock from suppliers whilst ensuring that products are handled and stored according to GDP during transit.
  • Accept and process customer returns, showing due diligence to the risk of falsified medicines and the place the returned goods into the customer returns area upon receipt into the warehouse

NB:
Warehouse operatives CANNOT authorised the removal of products from the customer returns area.

  • Documenting the operation activities for supplier returns.
  • Immediately reporting a product recall or potential recall situation to management or the RP
  • Place products authorised for disposal in the 'Goods for Destruction' area and complete the Medicines Disposal Record prior to disposing of products.
  • Have awareness of the responsibilities and duties of the responsible person in relation to your job role.
  • Complete any customer complaints received and forward the information to the Quality Assurance department for investigation review.
  • Inform the Responsible Person of any reports of adverse drug reaction.
  • Maintain a high level of security in the warehouse during working hours.
  • Perform regular stock checks and identify and report stock discrepancies.
  • Clean warehouse and perform pest control checks as per the cleaning schedule and ensure the warehouse cleaning records is completed on a daily basis. Report any cleanliness issues to the warehouse manager.
  • Report any pest control problems on site to the RP and supporting any instructions provided by the Pest Control contractor.
  • Report any repair or maintenance issues identified and perform any maintenance activities as requested by management. Ensure contractors are supervised whilst working on site.
