Description

The Role:


To undertake care duties for patients in support of and delegated by the Registered Nurse, within a hospital or community setting.

The post-holder will require to work without direct supervision on a regular basis, referring to the registered nurse as required.

What we'll need you to bring:
SVQ III in healthcare, or working towards, or equivalent experience working within a caring environment/role.

Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary/agency team.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively within a busy environment.

Ability to work unsupervised.

To actively participate in the Personal Development Plan process to fulfil the requirements of continuing professional development.

Working knowledge of basic information technology


It would be great if you also have:
Up to date with NHS mandatory training/evidence of core training from external organisations

Experience working with people who have mental health/health care needs

Experience of working within health inpatient setting

Evidence of experience in Dementia care with associated knowledge

Evidence of engagement in inter professional learning opportunities, self directed study, and peer reflection

Motivated and committed to continuous personal development

Working knowledge of IT systems

37.5 hours


Location and Working Pattern:

This role will be based in Intensive Psychiatric Care Unit within University Hospital Wishaw.

The working pattern for this role is Monday to Sunday, various shifts.
