We are seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor for a superb permanent opportunity with our Teesside based client.

The company are a well esteemed and highly regarded firm of Property and Construction Consultants, with a network of UK offices and who operate a multi sector practice.

They have a two day work from home policy with three office based days per week.


About the role
Due to increasing workload, they are currently seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor.

The key experience requirements are as follows:

  • Building surveys: condition surveys, schedules of condition, defects diagnosis inspections, detailed measured surveys.
  • Measured surveys: preparation of floor plans, elevations, and details on AutoCAD (must be AutoCAD proficient).
  • Building pathology: identifying building defects and failures and developing solutions including advice on estimated costs and programme.
  • Property management: preparation of planned maintenance programmes including elemental cost preparation.
  • CDM services (desirable but not essential) preparation of preconstruction information and health and safety files.

About you

Ideally you will have:

  • Building Surveyor, Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (essential).
  • Building Surveying BSc or BSc (Hons) degree.
  • Competency in using AutoCAD and measured survey (essential)
  • Knowledge of refurbishment and alteration of existing buildings (essential)
  • Relevant building surveying consultancy experience (essential)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Desire to progress your career with a leading consultancy
  • Full UK driving licence and have use of own vehicle
