Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a temporary Band 3 A&C Ward Clerk to work within the Oxford Health NHS Trust on a temporary agency contact.

This role will be based within the Marlborough, Oxford area and will be on a 3 month temporary contract with possible extension.

Hours
37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday)

Rates
£10.28 PAYE ( £12.50Ltd) paid weekly via an umbrella company.

Main Duties
To undergo administrative work and provide secretarial support to the various teams/departments within the hospital.

This will include being the first point of contact for team/ department, which could involve duties such as:

Answering telephones and dealing with appointment requests/queries:

Booking patient appointments from waiting lists, ensuring appointments are booked accurately on the system

Using the NHS Portal Service to upload, patient information, appointment letters and other documents

Ensure accurate and up-to-date patient details are maintained on patient information systems

Ensure patient confidentiality is always maintained:

Arrange follow up appointments or add patients to a follow-up pending list, as required, in accordance with clinician's instructions and Trust policy

Monitor clinics daily to ensure full utilisation of appointment slots and escalate any issues to team leader or slot manager

Actively monitor pending lists and action any Appointment Slot Issue requests

- **Cancel clinics and re-negotiate new appointments with patients by telephone where required, in an empathetic and helpful manner
