People Capability Planner - Manufacturing

Salary:
Up to £34,500 (depending on skills and experience)
What you'll be doing:
- Generate an overall training delivery schedule for the Manufacturing Function with declared cardinal dates and a quarterly lookahead
- Translate the overall Skills Training Plan into Level 1/Level 2 schedules with logic, resourcing and budget
- Through the plan, create a bridge between to overall training demand for the Manufacturing Function field resource and the capacity of training providers, and propose optimum solutions
- Assist budget holder with allocation of task budgets against the respective training activities
- Responsible for maintaining a highquality standard suite of training plans that aligns with compliance and governance measures
- Provide key support and guidance to the Functional and Skills Training Managers with regular engagement and a visible presence 'on the floor' as the training plans move through all phases from concept to delivery and recording
- Validate, advise and challenge progress and completion forecasts, identifying schedule risk, mitigating actions and enablers
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Robust understanding of Planning Tools, Material Requirements Planning (MRP) key operating principles, and other Integrated Business Systems (IBS)
- Understanding of network techniques and scheduling principles
- Understanding of Planning structures and principles (Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Product Breakdown Structure (PBS) etc.)
- Good Computer Skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
Desirable:
- Understanding of Ship Build manufacturing processes across the build cycle as an integrated part of a system involving other Functions
- Understanding of Engineering, Supply Chain and Manufacturing processes
- Understanding of Company HR, SHE & Quality policies and processes

The Capability team:
The Capability team sits within the Manufacturing Function.
It is responsible for ensuring our deployed workforce has all the skills and training in order to meet the required SQEP for trade and support roles respectively.
The team is the key interface with the BAE Systems Early Career and Skills Training team on the Clyde, and collaborate closely with Shared Services as part of the recruitment process, as well as Programmes and other business Functions where this impacts the Manufacturing resources deployed.
The Capability team also carry out regular skills reviews of the deployed resource, as well as overseeing the talent management and career progression framework within the Manufacturing Function.
