Purpose of this role:


Supporting Postmaster to be able to monitor and implement both remedial and corrective action for cash, ATM and Bureau to ensure that branch holdings are maintained at an operational optimum and branches have the right levels of cash to operate.

Supporting Post Office branches as part of a busy call centre querying funding requirements and investigating and correcting any anomalies in the planning.


Maintaining and adjusting data to enable accurate and effective planning from branch cash, ATM and Bureau products, and arranging transport requests and responsible for the upkeep of the national transport specification.


Principal Accountabilities:


  • Responsible for monitoring of overnight cash holdings and planned orders to ensure branches have the optimum level of operational cash.
  • Responsible for monitoring and controlling the levels of Cash and Bureau within the Retail Network
  • Responsible for monitoring and controlling the supply of Cash and Bureau to the retail network to achieve business targets.
  • Responsible for producing management information reports for monitoring and performance reporting
  • Responsible for communication with the Retail Line and Cash Services on the management of cash and bureau.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate branch planning data.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

Knowledge required

  • Competent user of Excel and windows based programmes.
  • An understanding of standard inventory and stock control techniques is desirable.
Experience required

  • Customer service experience is essential
