RSR Public Safety are currently recruiting on behalf of our policing client based in Leicestershire for a Business Analyst.


This is a full time, fixed term contract until March 2024 and offers a rate of pay of £14.79 per hour.


Main Duties:


  • Undertake business analysis activities in support of Performance Improvement, Project Management and Continuous Improvement to facilitate organisational aims and objectives.
  • Ensure sound analytical methodology and rigour is applied to projects or continuous improvements events where necessary.
  • Lead on and undertake reviews of the processes for design and development of statistical databases for managing projects.
  • Liaise with stakeholders in the development of solutions. To develop and implement recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide support to relevant teams in relation to performance matters by preparing analytical reports following the implementation of change projects.
  • Provide advice to relevant teams on appropriate statistical techniques and interpretation of results when collecting and reporting data.
  • Support the Project Management Team by identifying suitable performance measures and statistical tools in order to support delivery of organisational objectives.
  • Provide comprehensive reports to relevant teams to allow for a clear understanding of relevant information.
  • Undertake such other duties commensurate with the post as may be required for the safe and effective performance of the job.

Essential Requirements:


  • Hold a qualification in aspects of Business Analysis, Business Process Reengineering or have experience in this field is desirable but not essential.
  • Be able to evidence actively undertaking statistical analysis relative to business change and improving organisational performance and preparing and presenting relevant reports.
  • Demonstrate experience of Microsoft Office packages with experience of producing management reports and data.
  • Demonstrate by example experience of data collection & proven analytical skills including the interpretation of numerical data in either graphical, verbal or written formats.
