Purchase Ledger Assistant, Rotherham, full time, permanent
Duties for the Purchase Ledger Assistant include:
- Entering all purchase invoices onto the accounts system (Microsoft GP)
- Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
- Processing invoices, reconciling delivery notes to invoices received and purchase orders
- Generating and processing payment runs for suppliers
- To undertake, when required, additional reasonable tasks and responsibilities.
- To assist with covering for colleagues within the department during holidays and sickness
- All other associated duties
Skills required for the Purchase Ledger Assistant:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Effective numeracy, literacy, and wordprocessing skills
- Ability to liaise internally with internal colleagues and external policies
- Ability to work as a team member
- Excellent organisational skills, demonstrates a logical and methodical approach with attention to detail and accuracy
- Analytical approach
- Maintain accuracy whilst dealing with large volumes of information and working at speed
- Good IT skills
- Competent in the use of MS Excel, Word and Outlook
The Purchase Ledger Assistant offers the following:
- Salary up to £25,000
- 22 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Monday to Friday working days
- 8.30am5.30pm
