Purchase Ledger Assistant, Rotherham, full time, permanent

Duties for the Purchase Ledger Assistant include:

  • Entering all purchase invoices onto the accounts system (Microsoft GP)
  • Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Processing invoices, reconciling delivery notes to invoices received and purchase orders
  • Generating and processing payment runs for suppliers
  • To undertake, when required, additional reasonable tasks and responsibilities.
  • To assist with covering for colleagues within the department during holidays and sickness
  • All other associated duties

Skills required for the Purchase Ledger Assistant:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Effective numeracy, literacy, and wordprocessing skills
  • Ability to liaise internally with internal colleagues and external policies
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Excellent organisational skills, demonstrates a logical and methodical approach with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Analytical approach
  • Maintain accuracy whilst dealing with large volumes of information and working at speed
  • Good IT skills
  • Competent in the use of MS Excel, Word and Outlook

The Purchase Ledger Assistant offers the following:

  • Salary up to £25,000
  • 22 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Monday to Friday working days
  • 8.30am5.30pm
