We are working with an award winning artist who requires a Sales Assistant in their gallery.

Requirements of the role:


  • Experience of retail sales, handling payments and managing a till
  • Availability to work weekends and weekdays.
  • Flexibility to work hours per week on a 7day rotation. Full time may also be available.
  • Handling of pictures and other items of stock; sometimes large and/or heavy
  • Attention to detail
  • Good level of numeracy
  • Retail/ sales experience essential
  • Familiarity with EPOS systems an advantage
  • Willingness to undertake a broad range of tasks
  • Must display a 'can do' attitude
  • Ability to operate effectively in a busy retail environment
  • Comfortable working alone at times and with a team

The hourly rate is £9.50, commission can be earned by all artwork sales increasing, which will increase the hourly rate.

Part-time hours: 16-24 per week
