Internal Communications Business Partner

  • This role will be predominantly site based in Cambridge with occasional travel required to other business units.

This exciting new role of Internal Communications Manager will support the Head of Communications with the design and delivery of the Internal Communications strategy.


You will be confident in engaging with our stakeholders and the wider business, ensuring you are tenacious in your approach to deliver an exceptional experience that inspires our Colleagues.

Working for our Head of Internal Communications, responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Head of Internal Communications with the establishment and implementation of internal communication strategy to support business growth and drive levels of employee engagement across all areas of the organisation
  • Working closely with the Marketing team to align plans and messages whilst building employee advocacy for Marshall
  • Creating and maintaining the plans for delivery of communications, engagement activities and events
  • Ensuring internal communication messages are consistent across all mediums and for different departments of the organisation
  • Establishing strong working relationships with the stakeholders across various business units, proactively seeking their input and ensuring that communication and engagement efforts align with their strategic goals
  • Supporting with employee listening groups, utilising feedback to make continuous improvements
  • Drafting messages or scripts for presentations to employees in written or spoken form
  • Responding to feedback from employees and adjust communications content accordingly
  • Staying up to date with industry best practice to drive progress in our internal communications approach.
  • Playing an active role in the design and planning of large business events including conferences and all employee briefings

  • Solid interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems

Experience:


  • Experience in an Internal Communications role
  • Previous experience in an Operational or Manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience of designing and delivering successful Internal communication campaigns
  • Experience of working with senior level stakeholders
  • Confident user of all communications tools
  • Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
