What will you be doing?


Often your role will be supporting individuals within their homes to promote independence and aid with fulfilling life skills and house tasks in addition to helping engage within their local community.

Tasks may differ depending on who you support but will be in line with the individual's care plan that may involve assisting with personal care tasks, administering medication, providing companionship and emotional support.


Initially you will be working working alongside permanent staff for activities however there may be periods where you will be required to deliver support 1:1 or a lone working basis.

Shifts are often a mixture of AM's, PM's and long days - at Brook Street Social Care, we work based off your availability weekly to endeavour to find the work when you're free around other commitments you may have.


For this role, it is essential you are a driver with access to your own vehicle.


You can expand your experience and skills set with all the FREE training we provide in addition to the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients i.e.

learning disabilities, mental health, children and young people, homelessness etc. There's no fee to attend the training and no fee for you to obtain your certificate's - we're passionate about investing in you


Requirements:


  • Due to the needs of our clients, you must be a driver with access to your own vehicle
  • 6 months UK based care experience in the last year OR a year in the last 5 years
  • Right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship)
  • Willing to undergo DBS and reference checks
  • Willing to undertake personal care
  • To be approachable, friendly, proactive and engage with the services users
  • Great communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
