Teesside University is an ambitious and enterprising university for a focused and pragmatic global new generation. Focused on making a real difference to the lives of people and the success of businesses and the economy.

We are seeking an excellent Senior Standards and Compliance Officer to work in the IT Governance and Change team to help us ensure our hard-won ISO 20000 certification is both retained and used as a springboard to improve the services the IT department deliver to the rest of the business.

This will be a demanding but extremely rewarding role, which will gain prominence as it matures.

You will eventually be the go-to person for information on this ISO standard (but you do not need prior experience as full training and support will be provided).

What really matters is an understanding of the requirements of working to quality frameworks, sampling operational work for compliance and assisting in the liaison and conduct of internal and external audit activities.

After suitable training and support, you will also be assisting in the operation of the IT change management policy and procedure.

This role does not require a technical knowledge of IT or IT standards; what is more important is the ability to work with discipline, diligence, sometimes independently to a set of procedures - and helping us to improve them and the work of the department.

Please be advised that due to the minimum salary thresholds imposed by the UKVI, this post WILL
qualify for University sponsorship under the Skilled Worker v
isa route.
If you are shortlisted, your interview will take place via Microsoft Teams
