My client is recruiting for a hardworking Control Room Operator to work at their site in Barrow

The role is to start from ASAP

This is initially temporary ongoing, with the opportunity to go permanent.

This is a full-time position to work on a three shift rotation

Salary is around £30,000 per annum

Duties include but are not limited to:
Diagnose operating problems and undertake necessary corrective action

Deliver accurate and detailed records of all plant operations, settings and stoppages and maintain shift logs

Help site Team Leader and Deputy Team Leader in health & safety, environmental monitoring, behavioural safety observations and KPI's.

Support the engineering teams with a programme of planned preventative maintenance, inspection and cleaning to minimise downtime and provide records of recurrent faulting

Be aware of changes to health, safety and environmental legislation and Company policies to ensure defined standards and best practice are implemented

Implement and ensure compliance with all company policies, processes, and procedures

Maintain stock control

Able to communicate at all levels throughout the company and externally

Proven track record of delivering continuous improvement within an operational environment

IT Literate

Previous experience working in a similar role

Experience of SCADA systems or position of similar responsibility ideally in a process plant

Can work to KPI's

Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance
