Description

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate qualified mental health professional (OT, RMN, SW) trainer to work alongside our peer trainers to develop and deliver courses within the Recovery Education Centre, our local Recovery College and the wider Dorset system.

The Recovery Education Centre is a partnership service between Dorset HealthCare and Dorset Mental Health Forum; this is known as the Wellbeing and Recovery Partnership.

The partnership brings together lived experience of Trauma, Mental Health issues and Emotional Distress with professional, clinical, and learned expertise.

The vision of our partnership is for Dorset to be a place where people can thrive in their communities and be valued for who they are as citizens with all of their diverse experiences.

The Recovery Education Centre provides co-produced and co-delivered courses to people within Dorset within a further education model.

Central to the philosophy of the Recovery Education Centre is the idea that "individuals and communities hold their own solutions".

Therefore the purpose of our courses is to create a learning environment where people are able to understand how best to support their own recovery and the recovery of other people.

You will be required to work as part of the Recovery Education Centre team, supported by the Recovery Education Lead and the Wellbeing and Recovery Partnership.

The role includes co-producing and co-delivering courses with peer specialists, providing contemporary specialist advice on areas of new developments, best practice and initiatives in Recovery Education.

We are looking for someone with an understanding of personal recovery, how personal recovery relates to clinical recovery and recognition of how the educational process supports mental health recovery.

Our main office base is in Bournemouth however, the service is pan Dorset and so travel is essential to the role.
