Description

Absolute Recruit is partnered with a global brand to introduce an Assistant Accountant to join their established, and outgoing finance team.

This role will report to a qualified company accountant and will be working to ensure monthly, quarterly and yearlyaccounting is carried out accurately.

This role offers progression by the way of study support towards CIMA or ACCA, and a clear path to grow within the finance team.

This role will be working from head office in Dartford, and offers flexible working.


Duties:


  • Assist the accountant with the production of weekly profit forecasts, month and yearend accounts and assist with the preparation of budgets
  • Assist the accountant with the payroll, including the reconciliation of commission and bonus payments
  • Assist with the production of monthend management accounts
  • Assist the accountant in the submission of accurate and timely VAT and Inland Revenue returns
  • Participate in site forecasting and planning
  • Assist in the provision of strong working capital controls
  • Processing invoices for commissions etc
  • Assist the accountant in maintaining all debtors, creditors and stock details
  • Produce ad hoc management information as required to support

Requirements:


  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Knowledge of accounting principles
  • 12 years experience working within a finance function
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
