Reporting to the ULS European Implementation and Solutions Manager for Managed Services. Flexibility to work remotely within an impactful team Occasional travel to Customers UK site in Cambridge.


What will you do?
Together, we will augment the Customer Procurement department with Buyer Agent purchasing support. Purchase materials supplies and services at the most favourable terms for the organization. Qualify vendors, evaluate bids, and negotiate prices and terms for purchased goods and services. Tracks purchases, monitors vendor quality, and maintains a current database of vendor information.

  • Responsible for processing orders that are received in customer specific ERP System(s).
  • All messages will be responded to within twentyfour (24) hours of receipt, excluding weekends and holidays.
  • Build quotes for customers working with the local Sales Representative(s).
  • Support the business relationship between Fisher Scientific and the customer. Ensures that communications are clear and appropriate.
  • Process Return Goods Requests in Customer ERP
  • Field all requests from customer for Return Goods and handle in accordance with Return Goods policy of this agreement.
  • Supports rejections or problems with products and purchased materials.
  • Proactively research backorder products and communicate well, ensuring to update customer ERP System(s).
  • Provide vital reports to the Client.
  • Orders received by 2pm GMT will be entered same day if possible.
  • Perform invoice reconciliation, claims and deductions.

How will you get here?

  • Procurement Experience
  • Experience in laboratory setting or services is a plus
  • Good organization and time management skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Possess a strong desire to serve the customer, and the social skills to deal with various levels of personnel at the customer site
  • Possess strong communication skills and customer focus to deliver excellent customer service including maintaining a professional appearance at all times
  • Possess the organizational skills to multitask and meet deadlines as needed
  • Ideally experience in ERP systems and possess intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite of software
