An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the secondary adult mental health community services at a time of innovation and service development.

This role will be involved, as part of the wider team, in helping to adapt the existing service within the new transformation process.

This process is in response to the NHS 10year plan to develop mental health services round the Primary Care Networks and provides new opportunities which include developing partnership working with the voluntary sector, working more closely with GP practices and developing more innovative, community based and holistic ways of working.

You will work alongside the Enfield assessment service and primary care link workers to help engage clients particularly those without GPs, supporting in the screening referrals and offering brief interventions as part of the assessment process.

You will support and enhance the professional psychological care of clients within the Enfield community teams by contributing to the provision of both group and individual work and auditing clinical outcome data.


  • To assist in the formulation and delivery of care plans involving the psychological treatment and/or management of a service user's problems, under the supervision of a qualified professional psychologist or other qualified team members.
  • To assist in the coordination and running of therapeutic groups.
  • To work with other staff to assess service users and review their care in preparation for multi-disciplinary reviews.
  • To assist in the development of a psychologically based framework of understanding and care to the benefit of all service users of the service, across all settings where care takes place.
  • To attend and contribute to appropriate multi-disciplinary meetings.
  • Participate in the duty screening rota to support clinicians in triaging referrals, liaison and signposting referrals for service users.
  • To offer brief interventions to support service users to engage with community services, register with GPs if this is needed and other similar interventions.
