Exciting home working and Luton based test Engineering opportunity for a Senior Engineer to join a company specialised in next generation home safety systems.

You will be working alongside the small and specialised test team ensuring the products are fullyfunctional and safety compliant in preparation for volume manufacture.

This Luton based company are the global leaders in their field and deal with all the development in house from inception to design to test.

The client have successfully completed multipleproduct life cycle developments and are now looking for a Test Engineer with LabVIEW/TESTSTAND experience to be the point of contact for ATE suppliers to speed up the process ensuring a timely manufacturing deliverable date can be achieved.

Senior LabVIEW ATE Engineer Requirements
Experience in a Manufacturing Test background

Experience in Aviation, Automotive or other regulated industry.

Experience in generating Test documentation

Have a strong Hardware background including understanding schematics, datasheets, interconnect wiring and best practice layouts.

Experience in Test Automation in a Manufacturing Environment

Worked in Test Sequences, Programming, controlling external devices

Experience in writing requirements documents, Acceptance Test Plans and Production Test Specifications.

Experience in using Raspberry Pi, Python would be useful.

Adaptable and Flexible.

Good Analytical Skills, Communication and Report writing skills, interpersonal skills.

Practical skills:
Soldering and use of a standard range of laboratory instruments.

Good to have knowledge about EMC and approval bodies in general.

Able to communicate with Suppliers of ATE systems.

Able to follow procedures but also be creative.

Electro Mechanical Experience including solenoids, mechanically operated test fixtures and sprung test probes.

Experience of delivery of Test Systems and ability to pick up a project half way.

Experience in optical measurements would be beneficial

Experience in signal measurement levels

Working with Agile.

Any experience with PCB CAD packages would be beneficial, especially Altium.


LabVIEW ATE Engineer Role
The work is on-site in the Luton based innovation centre. The position has gone through a QDOS based IR35 assessment and the client are fine with a Ltd. company provision of service arrangement. The hourly rate is competitive.
