Electrical Maintenance Technician

Salary:
£38,000.00 per annum, plus Veolia benefits


Location:
Clitheroe, Lancashire, BB7 4QB

Hours: 40 hours per week, normal hours are Monday - Friday (Can be flexible)

What will you be doing?

  • Operating and maintaining two facilities
  • Coordinate PPM between the shift workers and ensure PPM is up to date and Optimise PPM system.
  • Lead the response to breakdowns
- investigate root causes of breakdowns and determine future prevention.

  • Carry out maintenance personally where needed.
  • Coordinate service contracts and ensure sufficient cover with bought in services.
  • Ensure the spares strategy is appropriate / documented / implemented
  • Responsible for ordering & maintaining required level of spares & equipment.
  • Ensure adequate breakdown plans are in place for major equipment.
  • Lead small projects
  • To learn how to operate the plants and be willing to assist occasionally if cover cannot be provided from the shift team.

What are we looking for?

Essential:


  • Background as a multiskilled maintenance technician, Electrical bias, working in a process / production environment
  • Experience of PPM systems
  • Experience in developing and maintaining a long term maintenance strategy and procedures
  • You must also be prepared to attend site out of normal working hours in the event of an emergency call out
  • Ability to negotiate service agreements with specialist service providers
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the Client at all levels
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Desirable:


  • Electrical,Mechanical and Control/Instrument experience
  • Leading a maintenance team, covering as many of the main tasks below as possible.
  • Experience of commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in HV equipment
  • Experience in the Chemical industry
  • Experience with one or more of the followingprocesses: evaporation, crystallisation, drying, bagging
