Recruitment & Retention Project lead

Band 8A AFC

£53,703 to £59,796 inclusive of all allowances


You will be based at St Bernard's Hospital and your role will be to proactively advertise, recruit and retain staff from all disciplines within West London Forensic Services.

You will work closely with members of the Senior Management Team and colleagues in Human Resources. You will attend job fairs and external recruitment initiatives.

You will take a lead role in ensuring that posts are recruited to, shortlisted and interviews arranged in a timely manner reducing time to hire to a maximum of 10 weeks.


You will be required to work closely with Managers at all levels within West London Forensic Services which will require your attendance at the workplace for a minimum of 4 days per week.

The post will also require occasional unsocial hours and weekend work. Working closely with colleagues in other parts of the Organisation you will be an ambassador for the Trust.


Interviews will be held in person on 18th May 202- To lead, develop, review and monitor the Trust's resourcing (permanent and temporary) and retentions plans.


  • To act as a strategic lead for the staff recruitment processes from planning to induction.
  • To act as strategic and operational lead in relation to Staff Retention initiatives.
  • To deliver training and support in both of these objectives, using specialist knowledge and to advise on complex recruitment and retention issues.


West London NHS Trust has grown significantly in the last two years with investment in Mental Health and Community services and this growth is set to continue over the next five years.
