As Wayleave Officer you will be reporting into the Build Support Manager and will interface into the whole of the Build team working alongside the Planning Team, Local Authorities, 3rd Parties and also the Voneus Sub-Contractors & Wayleave support Partners.
What you will be responsible for:
- Work wherever possible to the standardised Wayleave documentation suitable for all types of wayleave required
- Utilise the Build Support Manager and Legal Council for any escalations
- Work with local councils, land owners and landlords to obtain where possible overriding wayleaves against all properties and land rights
- Interface with legal department for support on legal documentation and advice
- Be the Single Point of Contact for outside agencies for wayleaves under your control
- Be the first line of escalation for the Build organisation for all things Wayleave
- Build and maintain effective and healthy relationships with 3rd parties and councils
- Evaluate and discuss solutions to drive costs down helping to improve CPPP
- Liaising with all required internal and external departments and teams to ensure the successful rollout of the fibre and Fixed Wireless build
- Understanding the complex customer and supplier relationship with Councils, 3rd Parties
- Ensure that all Partners and Suppliers are compliant to Wayleaves rules and regs
- Ensure correct documentation in place for Wayleave coverage prior to work start
- To abide by the Compliance Policies and Procedures of the Company
- Be the first line of escalation for the Build organisation for all things Wayleave
- Build and maintain effective and healthy relationships with 3rd parties and councils
What we are looking for:
- Understanding and experience within a fibrebuild organisation
- Understanding of Wayleave requirements
- Strong administration skills
- Leadership skills and ability to set an example
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Flexible, quick thinker, highly organised and can deal with tight deadlines and a demanding environment
- Confident and proactive, prepared to take a hands on approach
- Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills.
- An openminded consultative approach.
- Ability to give and receive positive and constructive feedback.
- Ability to creatively solve problems.
- Attention to detail without missing the bigger picture
