Membership Body - B2B Events - Motorsport Industry

2 Days Home, 3 Days Office Warwickshire

Basic Salary £28,000- £35,000 dependant on experience plus excellent benefits.

12-15 Month Contract Full Time

Be a car owner and hold a valid driving licence.


My client, a reputable and established membership body for organisations in the motorsport industry, is recruiting a Membership Executive to join their small busy team.


The Role of Membership & Event Executive


The work is varied and interesting and focused on building and supporting the membership community as well as delivering several key industry events, as part of a small, highly motivated team.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Responsible for identifying, engaging, and converting new membership leads
  • Arranging/Hosting meetings with potential members face to face, phone and online.
  • Responsibility of delivering several key events from inception through to delivery. These will include two of our key events as well as smaller coffee mornings and forums, all providing business opportunities for our membership community and wider industry.
  • Organising and delivering these commercial strategic events to meet budgetary and event objectives.
  • Creating promotional material for events and working with colleagues to actively ensure sales targets are met for each event.
  • Setting clear event project plans with fixed deadlines and ensuring these are met.
  • Attending external events to meet up with existing and future members.
  • Tracking and reporting progress on to management.

Person Specification
At least three year's experience in B2B membership recruitment and B2B events delivery

Ability to work independently and in a small team; resourceful with good interpersonal skills.

A multi-tasking, problem solver capable of working under pressure with concurrent deliverables; willing to take responsibility for delivering on-time.

A well-organised, planned approach to work with strong attention to detail. Excellent time-management with the ability to reprioritise work to meet deadlines.

Good IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office packages, CRM, Social

  • Media etc.
Flexible - accepts and enjoys change and responding to new challenges.

Friendly but professional, top-class written and verbal communication skills; enjoys helping and supporting members' businesses and colleagues too.

Confident on phone/screen, hosting meetings, taking calls, making sales calls with others.
