An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Administrator to work with the Integrated Healthcare Team at HMP Morton Hall on the new Swinderby, providing extensive administration support.


This unique environment offers the opportunity to work with different organisations and subcontractors and support the delivery of care across a range of services including primary care, mental health and substance misuse.


To provide an efficient, comprehensive administrative service to the Integrated Healthcare Team, supporting the clinical team in the organisation and facilitation of clinics by providing a reception service for patient appointments in the Healthcare Department, as well as maintaining patient records / databases, processing referrals, managing waiting lists and caseload management on SystmOne.

Liaising with external organisations where required, i.e. hospitals, other prisons and partner agencies and colleagues within this prison.

The Offender Health Directorate is one of the largest and most successful providers of prison healthcare in the UK.

The Directorate provide physical, mental health and substance misuse healthcare services in prisons across the East Midlands, Lincolnshire & Leicestershire.

The Directorate provides healthcare to 8 prisons.

You are part of a large peer group of 400+ healthcare professionals with access to peer support, supervision and excellent opportunities for learning and development.

We also offer services within the Personality Disorder Pathway, including Therapeutic Communities (within prisons), Community and Prison Personality Disorder services and specialist Veteran Services.

The Offender Health Team truly believes it can make a difference to the lives of offenders by offering consistent, high-quality care in primary, mental health and substance misuse services that are equivalent to health services delivered outside of Prison.


  • Support the clinical team in the organising and facilitation of clinics, using SystmOne ledgers.
  • Booking and managing secondary care referrals and appointments.
  • Liaison with subcontractor services who provide healthcare provision within the detained estate i.e. dental, optometry.
  • Assisting with procurement and invoicing.
  • Assisting the Assistant Practice Manager with the management of compliments and complaints.
  • Ensuring that visitors and deliveries to Healthcare are appropriately managed.
  • Filing, photocopying, scanning and attaching documents into SystmOne.
  • Attend meetings as a minute taker and responsibility for the production of agenda, minutes, action tracker.
  • Use of multiple software packages, in particular SystmOne and Microsoft Office.
